Stump Grinding

Stumps can be unsightly, major tripping hazards to children, and a nuisance for lawn mowers. While it isn't mandatory to have your stumps ground (yes, they'll eventually rot away and decompose), the stumps themselves will usually become a nesting sight for pests like termites and ants.

Stump grinding is a great option for stumps with easy access and the finished product (shown in bottom right photo) is much easier on the eyes. When possible, we will provide you with the cost to stump grind any trees we may be removing or any existing stumps you may want to get rid of. In the event that you choose to have stump grinding services, Rothco will handle the coordination and marking of all gas, electric, and communications lines in the surrounding areas to help prevent damage to any existing underground utilities.

Limitations of Stump Grinder:

  • Rocks present

  • Proximity of home and other unavoidable structures

  • Accessibility for the machine itself
